The Mazak SpaceGear Mark II 510 is both a 2-D and 3-D laser cutting system with 6-Axis cutting capabilities and featuring a CNC rotary axis. In 2-D mode the Mazak SpaceGear's powerful 4000 watt laser will process 5' x 10' sheets up to 7/8" thick quickly and efficiently with its rapid traverse rates up to 945 inches per minute. The 3-D mode uses Mazak's compact 360 degree, non-contact cutting head. The cutting head's 360 degree A-axis and 135 degree B-axis will maintain a normal cutting angle on sculptured surfaces while the non-contact profiler maintains a constant stand-off distance and eliminates marring of the part. The CNC rotary chuck can process pipes, tubes, structural shapes and more. Also, this machine features the optional high column for greater flexibility in all 3-D cutting applications.
